Charity
There is without a doubt that every single person can see the good intentions of giving to charity, the effects it can bring, the changes to the world it is has done. However, when is the last time that you have done something for charity? An act where in the end results, someone who is need would get some kind of aid or help?
People do things, because they like to do them. Everyone can agree that giving to a charity is right thing to do and that they like to give to charity, but the way that they do give to charity can always differ.
Some donate money directly, some people run marathons for it, put on benefit shows, stage a talent, or even just give time. Who does this? Obviously the person who loves to exercise in general, someone who may just enjoy to sing, or someone with a lot of money to give. They do this because it is something that they already love to do and wouldn’t mind doing it, in a matter of speaking, once in awhile for someone else’s need. For someone to donate to charity and not think of it as a extra task, is to let it be a way where it is something you either enjoy to do, or already do on an everyday basis.

I would not describe your intent as charity. It could be beneficial for the kids if you establish a foundation that allows the promotion of activities for hospital confined patients (kids, adults, entirely your choice). I suggest you first volunteer at a Children's Hospital.

Giving back
It is so important especially as we experience success in life to give back with our time and money. Not just because it can make a difference for others but because of the effect it has on our own lives.
It gives us value and purpose.
