Brief CV of Manel Martínez Ramón, PhD

Telecom engineer, PhD in signal processing.
Posdoc in Real Time fMRI with Statistical Learning Methods, MIND Imaging Center, New Mexico.
Associate professor in the department of Signal Theory, Universidad Carlos II de Madrid, Spain

Research interests:
Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Spectroscopic Imaging
Signal processing techniques appied to fMRI image processing, such as alternatives to SPM that provide multivariable and nonlinear properties. Disease detection using fMRI in default mode or task related imaging combined with Learning techniques (Neural Nets, SVM) with emphasys to Schizophrenia.

Collaborating with several groups in Spain (Hospital Universitario Gregorio Marañón, Hospital de Parapléjicos de Toledo), and in the USA (The MIND Research Network, The University of New Mexico).

More than 20 papers in JCR indexed journals, including Neuroimage, MRM, IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks, IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, Neurocomputing, among others. Several books and book chapters. More than 30 conference papers, including ISMRM and HBMO.

Participated in more than 20 spanish research grants, and in an USA RO1.

Teaching experience of about 15 years in 3 universities, with more than 26 grad and undergrad subjects taugth.
