Your question wasn't clear.

Are you only asking students, or are you asking if we were student's now what would we choose or what we think students today should choose?

Also how do you define medical science vs life science - did you mean clinical vs non-clinical or something else.

I have a BSc in human anatomy and physiology, a Ph.D. in biomaterials science and work as a researcher for a bio-pharma company developing drugs for bone diseases. I do not have any clinical training am I life scientist or a medical scientist ?

By the way I would recommend Dentistry as the best clinical career.

Hi,

> I do not have any clinical training am I life scientist or a medical scientist ?

You are welcome to decide by yourself.
But, this scheme will work good for me.

MD, Physician -> see patients often -> doing research = medical scientist
BSc, P.Hd. -> no clinical activity -> doing research = life scientist

Anybody are welcome to answer:
- Students from they prospective;
- Teachers (Professors) from they prospective.
