Hi,
I am trying to find protocol for protein immunoprecipitation.
Can somebody help me?
I will appreciate link to Web side or just post a protocol on this forum as an attachment.
Thank you.
;) You sound committed to finding a solution to your question- that is what is necessary to produce a constructive effect in such a complicated field as biology or chemistry. Frankly I don't know. I can refer you to a catalog I used at times which sells materials and used to have access to protocol references; EMS, or Electron Microscopy Sciences. Very good as a reference for persons in education and learning the processes. They have expanded their product line and were very competitive economically. I use light microscopy materials only. I suggest you consider a local university or college for detailed support- direct entry into the trade is impossible at a reasonable price to my understanding. I spent years following the technical concepts from outside the education industry-even a token overview has its value.

Hi mars,
Do you have Web site URL of this catalog?
Thank you.
to perform an immunoprecipitation, you need a few things:
1. target protein
2. antibody specific for the target protein
3. protein A or G depending on the isotype of the Ab.
4. shitload of buffers
5. SDS-PAGE stuff
6. western blot stuff.
if you have protocols for each step you could write up an entire one fairly easily. here is a lengthy protocol that explains everything too dps.ufl.edu/hansen/protocols/imp98.prt.htm
just outta curiosity, what are you trying to probe for? and what are you studying?
