Statistical Sampling for Medical Device Incoming Inspections

Hello all.

I am a Clincial Engineer at a large hospital and have been assigend the proejct of rolling out 2000+ infusion pumps. I know that some hospitals have used statistical sampling for large volume incoming inspections to stop from having to perform a huge amount of inspections at once. Does anyone out there have any experience with this they would like to share? I'm trying to come up with a sampling plan and am having some troubles. I'd appreciate any input.
