I am actually just now getting off effexor and I've been having these "dizzy" spell things like every few minutes but it's more then just dizzy it's like my brain is shuttering or something and it even happens when I move my eyes. And I keep having these shakes that come from the core of my body and then spread out. I feel like I'm super sick yet I have no cold. I don't know what to do and I seem to be getting worse. It's harder and harder to get up each day, the strength is almost drained away. Should I go see a doctor or just sit it out and wait to feel better?
I'm really confused and my family is not helping me at all so I'm not sure what to do.
i say you better go to your doctor and tell him the whole thing as your condition is getting worse day by day
if you wait longer than any thing can happen

actually i have been off all my medications for about 7 months now and I feel so much better, it took me a long time to get off effexor b/c i had to reduce up reduce up then finally i said forget it and just went off the stuff and I had the shakes and jitters and the dizzy feeling of my brain spinning in my head...it was bad at points but i told the doctor once and she upped all my medications and i was stuck in my own little world for a week then i decided that enough was enough and that I wasn't going to stand for being drugged constantly and feeling bad all the time trapped inside myself so i stopped the medications and now I'm doing better. I still have my ups and downs but I know how to handle that and remind myself that it will pass and that its just my imbalance making it worse but thanks

You have to decide if the benefit of the med out weighs the risk.
As far as those sensations go, they are caused by neurons firing in a way which is akin to seizures. They do go away but it can take 2-6 weeks depending on the different med you are on.
